(Translated) its pointless to be the richest man of the century because you loose it when U die True or false?

yes or no?(Translated) its pointless to be the richest man of the century because you loose it when U die True or false?
Yes. I have never seen a UHAUL behind a Hearse.(Translated) its pointless to be the richest man of the century because you loose it when U die True or false?
When you look at a funeral procession, you will not see an armored car with the money of the deceased but you will see all the friends he colllected in his life. This is what remains forever
This just doesn't logically follow, so invalid. We can't assume that because the money that makes you the richest man of the century is ';lost'; when you die, that it is therefore pointless to be the richest man of the century. Do you see the irrelevance here? Your premise addresses the issue of the money itself and how it becomes ';lost'; at death, while the conclusion addresses the issue of what kind of status a person can have when he has a specific amount of money. Besides, the assumption here is this: Whatever is lost at death seems pointless, but we loose our life at death, so it would seem then that our life would be pointless too according to this reasoning--is that true? There's definitely problems with this argument.

No. If by rich you mean ';having an abundance of money for oneself';, then no, it is not necessary to be rich in order to be influential. Many of the most influential people that affected civilizations, and still continue to affect civilizations were, all records indicate, unwealthy. For instance, Socrates who believed it was ethically wrong to take money for teaching others the truth. Plato as well. Jesus Christ of Nazareth, possibly the most influential person who ever lived, was probably unwealthy as well.
False,

Money itself is useless and the context into which society puts money into is in itself also useless. What if you could have anything you want whenever you want it, now that is a powerful concept.

Money is a social way of saying ';We will limit you on what you can have and here is how';. Now what do you do, since you're a creature with boundless need for material possessions. Do you go and steal the money, do you kill for money, or do you work hard for your money and enjoy the few little freedoms that it affords you. This is the character you build through your life and this is what you pass on to generations to come. It's a good way to see how you live your life and how you die (never satisfied and greedy or fulfilled and unattached).
if you're rich and want a friend you can have one in me if you help my family with money, you scratch my back --I'll scratch yours
The same could be said of Prestige, Honor, Love and finite 'things' that are more to be cherished than money, yet we still value them.

A wise guy once wrote that it is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than a rich man to enter heaven.

But with no money at all we can't survive so it makes sense to grab as much 'long green' as possible.

The statement must have lost something in the translation.
It's not useless to be rich. It's a great convenience and luxury.
that would only be true if you did some bad things in order to acquire the wealth
False. You may loose your wealth, but you can never loose the affects you've had on the world. Those that become the ';richest'; do a great deal to get there.

Let us look at Bill Gates. He has made computers user friendly and allowed people like us to use them without much knowledge on how they work. Do you know how to run a computer with DOS? Neither do I. That is why Windows is such a huge hit, because now we do not have to. Bill Gates has commercialized the computer, and his legacy will live on forever. Not only that, but Bill Gates created thousands of new jobs in the process, made other jobs easier, and therefore cheaper, and made all of our lives a lot simpler. Would you work on a computer if it required learning how to operate it using DOS? Me neither, but now that I don't have to, I am on the computer all the time. In this way, Bill Gates has touched the lives of millions of people all over the world. He will never be forgotten.

That is why it is not pointless to be the richest man of the century.
false. you could always leave it to someone else.
false. I love money. life is so luxurious with it, and I still pray and go to mass so I will get to go to heaven just like every other good christian. money is a real bonus to life and I am real thankful for it.
True

Many of the richest people in the last couple of hundred years certainly felt this way: Carnagie and Rockefeller, and more recently Gates and Buffet.

Their idea is that once your rich enough to do pretty much whatever you want, the rest is superfluous and they will gain more riches by seeing their money do good in the world than by seeing it accumulate in the bank. They save enough for them to remain fabulously wealthy and in many cases for their children to also be fabulously wealthy, but spend a great deal of time and money in philanthropy. That's why Warren Buffet gave half his money to the Bill and Melinda Gates fund. Bill Gates and Warren Buffet have fallen from the top spots in the worlds richest people now. Buffet is now number 2 and Gates number 3. I would be surprised if they don't move further down that list in the comming years. But even then, they'll make more every day then I'll see in my lifetime.
We bring nothing into this world and we will not take any worldly possessions with us when we go. If we are going to do any good with what we accumulate in this life we will have to do it before death or leave it to someone who will.
Monsieur, vous n'avez pas raison! This makes no sense at all. You lose everything when you die, but that should not prevent your taking what you want in life and enjoying it to the fullest.
Many have tried to take their wealth but in the end they find it will not fit through the hole.
it depends. it depends what u do weth it when ur alive!! if it makes u happee, then thats great, if u help people than thats great, if it does no gud, if it doesnt make u hapee, an u never help people, i wud say its pointless in that its bad, an wud be better if they never had the money.

u dunt have to be rich or famouse to be influential, u jus have to never give up! n' be the best person u cen be n_n ud be surprised how manee peopel u coem in contact weth everee day, those are the people u will inspire ♥
False...enjoy life while your living it!
