Why do many false teachers use Colossians 2:16 to discredit God's Seventh day Holy Sabbath?

The Ten Commandments have never been altered, or abolished by Christ. (Matthew 5:17-18). James 2:10-13; Romans 3:31; 1 John 2:4; 1 John 5:3). Therefore the weekly Sabbath still applies to all humanity. Why do many false teachers use Colossians 2:16 to discredit God's Seventh day Holy Sabbath?
Are you talking about the order from a powerful ruler in Rome in the 4th century that ordered that Sabbath to be changed to Sundays? Because the ones that believed that the sun was a god were having fun murdering the Christians on Saturdays as they went to and from church, (able to) because they stood out dressed up. Then, on Sundays, they were all dressed up on the same day of the week.

Anyone that worships on Sundays today are still obeying that Roman ruler today.

The Bible says only Saturday, from the time the sun sets on Friday until it sets on Saturday, is to be the Sabbath and we are to honor and love God through it. Not to do any work,... Even that if a person picks up a piece of wood or to light a fire is a big sin if done on the Sabbath. In the Old Testament to be put to death if one dose as little as those. Jesus told us we can take care of of our child if it is sick on the sabbath now.Why do many false teachers use Colossians 2:16 to discredit God's Seventh day Holy Sabbath?
Because they twist this verse around.

Col 2:16 Therefore let no one act as your judge in regard to food or drink or in respect to a festival or a new moon or a Sabbath day--

How many ';Christians'; observe the dietary kosher laws ';food or drink';. The ';festival(s)'; of Leviticus 23, the ';new moon'; for the beginning of months, or the ';Sabbath day';?

If they don't, this verse does not even apply to them therefore they cannot be judged in respect for observing these ordinances of our Creator.

This verse is to defend those, whether ';Jew'; or ';gentile';, who observe the kosher laws, the Feast Days, the New Moon, and the Sabbaths because of their faith in our Creator, the God of Israel.
Colossians 2:16 with verse 17 states that these sabbaths are shadows, with the reality or that which has substance being the Christ. A shadow has no substance. Your question then appears to be asking why we should still be keeping shadows without substance.

If the weekly Sabbath applied to all humanity, there would be a command in scripture where God required it of all humanity. There is no such commandment.

So since we are keeping these laws still, are you FOR stoning people who don't keep them? why or why not?

Col 2: Therefore let no man judge you in eating and drinking or in respect of a festival or of an observance of the new moon or of a sabbath.'; (If a person was under the Mosaic Law and was judged guilty of profaning the Sabbath, he was to be stoned to death by the whole congregation, according to Exodus 31:14 and Numbers 15:32-35. Many who argue for sabbath keeping have reason to be glad that we are not under that Law. As shown in the scripture here quoted, an approved standing with God no longer requires observance of the sabbath requirement given to Israel.)
This verse is saying that the ';law'; given to Israel was no longer valid. As far as the sabbath, each creative day was 6,000 yrs. we are still in the 7th, Gods Rest, as we do not know how far into it we are, but we know its close to the end. After the law was no more, God gave us 2 commandments to follow: To love God with your whole heart, soul and mind and to love your neighbor.
They get some help.

Revelation 12:9

And the great dragon was thrown down, that ancient serpent, who is called the devil and Satan, the deceiver of the whole world--he was thrown down to the earth, and his angels were thrown down with him.
The reason you call them false teachers is because you are upset at them for being true teachers who show your favorite doctrine to be false.
I think all of it is just made up to force people into submission.

Crazy people.
