Could I sue the Discovery Institute for false advertising?

They haven't even discovered their 5th grade science text book.Could I sue the Discovery Institute for false advertising?
Why bother, a lawsuit will just get them more publicity whether they win or loose, so you will be helping them either way it goes. It's like suing the village idiot for being stupid. He'll still be an idiot but more people will know about him.Could I sue the Discovery Institute for false advertising?
Hi,

Great question.

They have their own lawyer's of course. They may have their priorities mixed up an bit and thus an much needed text book could be on the back shelf sort to speak. If you have the cash to hire an great lawyer

or an lawyer in-trusted in accomplishing an good thing you may be able to get their system at the said institute to awaken and thus get the said book out to the students. Suing for $ wouldn't be wise , But rather for the sake of getting the said book out to the students is the Goal.

Humbly Yours,
I actually asked an attorney friend of mine about this. The short answer:

Yes you can sue, you likely won't win since a very critical examination of the actual claims of the Discovery Institute aren't false. When your mission statements is something along the lines of ';Making the Bible Come Alive Through Science';, the law doesn't deem it a matter of a promised, regulated object being delivered to a patron. A *service* is being offered and rendered, not any claims to factual knowledge. They're very careful to usually say ';Here is a *possible explanation*....';
You discovered they were a fraud and that is still discovery.
You can file........
Caveat Emptor, my friend...
nope
I'll sign a petition.

Double-speak is way too common.
yes u can
why bother?
