Which of the following is false about enzymes?

1. they lower the activation energy of biological reactions.

2. they increase the temperature of biological reactions to speed them up.

3. They act as a biological catalysts.

4. They are highly specific in their catalytic activity.

5. None of the above.Which of the following is false about enzymes?
Number 2 - they increase the temperature of biological reactions to speed them upWhich of the following is false about enzymes?
2 is false
2. They don't increase the temperature.
Enzymes lower the energy needed to start a reaction, and they are specific biological catalysts. Logically, if the enzyme lowers the energy needed to run the reaction, they would not increase the temperature to speed up the reaction. Enzymes exist to run reactions at a safe temperature rather than applying lots of heat to force the reaction forward (not good for keeping cells alive, cooking them). #2 is the answer.
